At Pacific Lifestyle Homes, we don’t think of ourselves as just a home builder in Vancouver WA, we think of ourselves as a part of the greater community. This is why we try to give back, through programs such as our Community Giving House. Partnering with local trade suppliers and local charities, we’re able to give back to the community in a variety of ways to help fill the needs of many.
We started the Community Giving House to ensure a company commitment to enabling the greater communities to flourish, prosper and help today’s youth. Part of our overall mission statement is to build thoughtfully designed homes that fit the needs of today’s buyers. When we build these homes, we know that the location is always important, and people want to buy homes in communities where residents are happy, secure, and have the help to prosper.
Each year, since 2014, we’ve teamed up with our local trade partners to build 1-2 unique homes with a purpose, designed to give back to our community. All proceeds from the sale of these homes go directly to local charities, making a real difference here at home. Over the past decade, we’ve built 16 homes, with more $780,000 donated to make a difference for local families.
To achieve our goals, we have looked carefully at the many charities in the region, and have chosen local charities that make daily contributions to health, wellness, and sustainability. We’ve sought out specific organizations that are focused on enacting change and challenging the disparities and struggles faced by far too many families today. We care about ensuring housing for everyone from homeless youth to struggling families. Yet you’ll also find us working with a variety of groups providing food banks, youth groups, and organizations that create safe shared spaces, provide mentorship, offer street and school outreach, and provide job training, shelter, and crisis services. To have a healthy community, it’s important to have a holistic approach that meets the variety of needs that can impact people’s lives.
This year, our McCormick Trails Giving Home in Port Orchard WA and our North Haven Giving Home in Ridgefield WA just sold but we plan to start another Giving House early in 2025.
