The Giving House
September 4, 2023
As Kevin Wann, owner of Pacific Lifestyle Homes explains, “We are thankful to be in a position where we are able to give back and help others. We are so appreciative of our valued trade partners who have bought into this idea. We want to make a difference in the lives of families in the communities we build in.” One way we’ve managed to do this is through our The Giving House.
With the Community Giving House, which was started in 2014, our goal has been to design a home completely for the benefit of charity. We have been lucky to partner with others in the trade to make these homes even more appealing.
So far, 10 homes have been built and more than $438,000 have been donated to make a difference in the lives of local families in Oregon and Washington. From the start, this program stands as a company-wide commitment to building a stronger, healthier local community that enables families to flourish. It also helps businesses prosper, and works to make today’s youth tomorrow’s leaders.
We wanted our company to be more than just a business. We want our legacy to include philanthropy, altruism and charitable contributions that directly lead to more prosperous and connected communities. This is an obvious extension of our company’s core values of respect, teamwork, accountability, humility, candor, and integrity. When we build your home, you become part of our community and we want you to have a positive experience. The Community Giving House allows us to extend our community, through the companies we work with and the people we help.
One way we’ve expanded our community is by working with strategic partners to help with the Community Giving Home, as well as to identify the charities that work daily to improve the health, wellness, and sustainability of our region. We are proud of the relationships we have fostered with southwest Washington organizations that enact change and challenge the disparities and struggles faced by far too many families today.
Among some of the many important groups, charities, and organizations we work with are The Children’s Center, The Fallen Outdoors, Bridge the Gap Ministries, Assistance League of SW Washington, Building Futures Foundations, Evergreen Habitat for Humanity, and Transitional Youth. This is just the tip of the iceberg and we invite you to learn more about these and the other organizations we are proud to work with.
If you’d like to learn more about The Giving House and the charities and partnerships we’re involved with, feel free to contact us. We’re always happy to share more information to encourage others to get involved in their own way. After all, it’s about strengthening and supporting our communities.
